Fabricating aluminium cowlings. Done it?

I was wondering if anyone had made their own alloy cowlings and would be prepared to pass on any tips with regards to sheet material and thickness plus fasteners and fixtures.
I can wheel panels but have never done aero cowlings before. Homebuilt, UK on a LAA certificate. No alloy welding experience, as yet. Here are a cowling nose piece in 2024 and a car panel in generic annealed alloy.

Cann't really help - got mine done by Aviation Panels near Southampton. Excellent quality and really helpful - might be worth talking to him, seemed very helpful

Dudly Patereson did a recent article in the Laa mag. He's prob your best bet.
