Cobham bags Chevron flights deal
Date: Wednesday 09 Dec 2009
Defence and aerospace group Cobham has won a A$170m (£95m) contract to provide flights in support of the US oil company Chevron’s operations in Western Australia.
Cobham will operate flights going from Perth and Karratha to Barrow Island to support operations such as the Gorgon project.
The project extends to 2016.
‘The Chevron contract award is very significant for Cobham,’ said chief executive of Cobham Aviation Services Australia, Peter Nottage.
‘It involves the introduction of new aircraft variants and positions the company for continued growth in the Western Australian resource industry market through to 2016.’
Great news for the boys and girls. Looks like you have turned the corner from the contract losses a year ago.:D
