Anyone have any info on the package on offer (money, roster, commuting/non commuting ?) for the vacancies posted a week ago for A310/737/ATR Capt& F/O ?
Is this for real, or is it another little political game between management /unions to try and drive down conditions for the encumbent crew (as the recent recruitment for Olympic/Turkish gave the impression of being.)

Edited to say, the vacancies also appear now on ppjn.com

Since the application is made directly to the airline, I suppose it's a standard "based" roster; commuting rosters are generally the preserve of agency contracts.

Money-wise, check the TAROM page on ppjn: Tarom jobs, payscales and entry requirements. (http://www.pilotjobsnetwork.com/jobs/Tarom)
Regarding your other questions, your guess is as good as mine...

Cheers

I applied for the ATR Capt. position and would be keen to find out in anyone ever gets called for any of the positions. I am not desperate as I have a job but potentially it would be something I might be keen on and would love to know if the ad is genuine. Will let you know if I get any feedback.

The ad is genuine, the jobs are also listed on Tarom's website. The reason for the positions, as far as I have heard, is that the company have had retired pilots continue flying while receiving their pensions, but they will not be allowed to anymore hence they have to choose if they want to be retired or continue flying and not collect their pensions while flying.

A deal was made with the pilots currently flying while actually being "retired" so will not need the advertised crew anyway.. as they will continue flying while being paid their pensions.. at least for a while..

What a surprise . . . . not !

Much like Olympic / Turkish? External labour , in the form of ads/interviews, being used to knuckle down the indigenous workforce.
And all those happy little candidates in the background if the "negotiations" fail.
