Gentlemen,
does anybody know the minimum idle time required on ground before shutting down engines on a Beech Duke aka BE60?

2-3 minutes at low RPM is sufficient which occurs during normal taxi to parking. No need to idle any longer

Is that a POH number?

There is no required idle time, it is a recommendation

yes, indeed, 2-3 minutes at low RPM is sufficient for the engines with turbo.

For more information check DukeB60.de (http://www.dukeb60.de)

I haven't flown the Duke but I have flown turbo engines which are closely cowled similar to the Duke. You need to be very careful just how long you idle as the CHT begins to rise rather dramatically after a few minutes.

Thanks for your replies. I was asking out of curiosity as I've seen one taxiing in a Be60 and shutting the engine down right away. Didn't look right to me as I fly Conti GTSIO and TSIO 520 and they have a cool down period of 3min after landing.

This is indeed normal, low RPM taxi allows the turbos to cools down sufficiently, additional idling not neccessary
