Just seen "We Were Soldiers". Excellent film. Good footage too. 6 Hueys and some inserted footage of A-6 Intruders, F4s, F105 Thuds etc. Also quite a lot of A1D Skyraiders which looked real. Are there actually any left flying around they used or how did they get the footage?

Lots of Skyraiders out there. Usually several at Oshkosh. And lots at the boneyard , at least last time I was ther 3 years ago, in Tuscon. Everyone I have seen was restored, and not used commercialy. Had a buddy in Nam who loved to point one straight down a full power and obtain terminal velocity. A very strong airplane.!!!

A good film for technical effects but once more Mel Gibson rewrites history with the ommission of the main character from the book who was tragically killed on Sep 11, can't remeber his name of the top of my head but the story was in Fridays papers.... .. .FM
