What sort of flying do they do?

I ask as I am ex mil, signals SNCO went YofS rahter than AAC. I have since become a heli pilot and working towards CPL/H and was thinking perhaps TA AAC might hold some satisfaction.

Any idea of the selection process they use, how much flying they do etc etc.

Netheravon is south west somewhere...?

Any info welcome.

TA AAC, is 666 Squadron, I think. A very good friend of mine, Chris Herratt flew with them until he died in a Rotorway Scorpion break-up.
Chris was an ex- AAC QHI, and all pilots must be ex-regular, wings qualified.
Even then you might not get in. I hear tell some former "AAC attached" officers tried out and got binned.

Vortex, unfortunately you need to have passed a military pilot's course and served with the AAC to be eligible. Having said that I know of at least one ex RAF pilot who used to be in.
