I was on duty as an Aerodrome Controller about 2 weeks ago when one of your hercs decided to 'smoke' at the intersection. All 64 POB jumped out in a flash and noboddy was injured. When the AFS arrived they found no smoke, fire or any sign of damage. Just curious to know what had happened?. .. .Surface Wind. .. .

Perhaps the pie machine overheated and set off a smoke detector.

Ahh - now then, now then, then now...now then!. .. .This is going to be a bit technical...... .. .It's probably that the laodie's HUD failed (thats HUD as in Heating Up Device to the uninitiated!) the evacuation was bravely and courageously ordered and the passengers ran screaming form the infero! Actually it was only to allow the crew to go though the pax butty-boxes whilst they were off the frame.. .. .or.... that the passengers were a bit restless and excited so the captain had them run around a bit and do some PT. Truckies like watching grunts do PT from the comfort of their armchairs nursing a cup of tea and a do-nut. . .. .Actually have no idea but will keep my ear as close to the ground as I can get it.. .. .Keep on truckin!. .. .T. .. .Happiness is 70 tons a HUD and a hob-nob!!!!

The ALM made the fatal mistake of informing them that they had ran out of coffee before take off.
