Anyone have any information on the crash site of a Douglas A-20 (Havoc or Boston) that crashed near the village of Little Walden in 1944?....think it might have been March or Sept......

Any information greatly received.....my grandfather is trying to track down the history of aircraft he flew and remembered this accident.

Cheers

Hi SSS,

Was your Grandfather (and his aircraft) USAAF or RAF?

If it was USAAF, try searching this database (http://www.aviationarchaeology.com/src/AFrptsMO.htm).

If it was RAF, try contacting the RAF Museum (http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/research/index.cfm). They may even hold the Accident Card for your Grandfather's aircraft.

HTH,

Don
