Gents and Ladies--

I did a search but could not find any details on this topic, so thank you in advance for any info you can provide.

My daughter, a US citizen, will soon take a two year position assisting her (American) university's foreign study department in Firenze. The job description mentions that she will be on a work visa, but health coverage is only available for EU country members.

Obviously, she needs some sort of health benefit. What is available for health insurance or coverage for a non-EU worker in Italy? Any potential links or resources would be appreciated.

Again, gracie!

Have a look at this link, this is from the Florence Health authority and seems to be applicable to your case (non EU with work permit)...
