Air International, March. In an news item concerning the disbandment of 5 Sqn:. .. .........."but the MOD now says that once the unit is gone, two Tornado F3s will be moved to RAF Marham to protect the capitol. The move contradicts the findings of the Strategic Defence Review in 1998, which said that five air defence squadrons was the minimum requirement to protect the country".. .. .So Marham is going to "open all hours" is it? . .Going to build a Q shed too? . .. .Good thing that F3 serviceability is so good that deploying just the two will do. . .. .At least Tony will be safe.

TWO aircarft on standby....crikey, they are feeling generous.

Next you'll be saying that they'll provide fuel and missiles.....no, Tony's decided we don't need them.
