"Qantas today announced that it had formally joined the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Users Group (SAFUG), a bipartisan industry group established to accelerate the development and commercialisation of sustainable aviation fuel.

Qantas is also looking at ways to save fuel and reduce carbon emissions, and is pioneering Required Navigational Performance (RNP), which uses leading edge technology to land aircraft efficiently."

I bet that the drag reduction would have been offset by the methane produced by the two pilots when they realised the gear had not been lowered.....:E
