You can be "based" anywhere KAL operates more than twice a week, and then you commute to ICN to start your pattern.
LAX is a big cargo hub for all the freight coming from Asia, and a main pax destination also. KAL 744 operates frequently to LAX both freight and pax.
I am trying to find out how is the pattern arranged for 744 crews choosing LA as their domicile. Will they take flying duty from LAX and fly in and out LAX or similar? Days on/off etc.
