I am an RN officer with a new appointment in Plymouth. Is there a military club or group owned aircraft with a vacany in the area?

<img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0"> There used to be a jolly good flying club in your area, it was called the RNAS; now renamed but there should be plenty of vacancies!

I understand that there's a Royal Navy flying club at Culdrose and another at Yeovilton - which rather puts you midway between the 2.

Regrettably the Tigers have now left Roborough!!

What were the Tigers?

The wonderful DH82a Tiger Moths which were once used by the RN to give EFT to Dartmouth Cadets! I understand that the RN was the last UK military operator of the Tiger, later they used the Chipmunk but now I understand that there's some civil contractor using plastic planes......

BEagle,

I beleive they are now using the Grob, although it is run by a civvie contractor, there has been a new naval air squadron formed for the job.
