Do you know if they hire Europeans much as a Cabin crew or not?

They do hire cabin crew from Europe but not very regularly. They were in the UK a couple of years ago. I know that the cabin crew manager is from Ireland!

Let me know if you need the email address to her. I think I have it saved somewhere.

I don't think that they have recruited in the UK since 2006 or 2007 and they recruited a bunch of girls who went to Amman for training. They are VERY strict on grooming. They won't let you fly if you've got the smallest rash on your face.

The salary seems to be good, though. Around $2000 per month.

Hello everyone,

I am a cabin crew for an Asian airline and willing to apply for Royal Jordanian.

If there is someone who's crew for RJ, please tell me about your roster a bit...
When you fly to Europe from Amman, is that round trip??
I checked their timetable and am wondering if it is just quick return?

Like from Amman to Rome is Dep. 10:55- Arr. 12:55 then
from Rome to Amman they have flight Dep. 13:45-Arr. 19:10

Only 50mins interval then go back to base?
Or, will crew stay for one night??

Thanks in advance.

Avril:)

Most likely a turnaround trip!

Some of the other destinations in European might be layovers. LHR is definitely one of them. Not sure about CDG and FRA.

I think most of their other destinations in the Middle East are turnaround trips because of the short flight times.

Ah is that? So that will be almost same story as Im doing now..... say hello to airport and duty free then fly back to base 1hr later... :ugh:

For me, RJ is much more attractive for their destinations. More than Oman air, more than Gulf air. Fly lots to beautiful Europe and States then few Asia.
But if turnaround nothing good for sure..

Ummmm...

Hello girls,
In March 2009 I participated to RJ interview in Bucharest. At the screening day were a lot of girls that were so loud and dressed like they had a disco show. For me it was my first interview for an airline company, but I know very well how to dress myself for such an event. Second day, around 90 persons in the hotel lobby, I was the 4th person to enter the two to one interview. There was the CO of the company(I didn’t knew it at the time ) and a lady from the HR, Haya. Haya only took notes and Majali (it was a men) asked all the questions, about my work, about the location of Amman(He asked me if it was in Africa J), what would I do in a stressful situation, if they give me a 5 years contract what my parents will say(tricky question, always answer in a positive way) , what would I do for the company to be kept for 5 years.
I had a positive thinking, and didn’t know what to expect from that interview, and I even made jokes with Majali. They liked me, and at the end of the interview they gave me a piece of paper to complete and to bring in 2 days 20 passport size pictures. The second day I heard it was a mess because they took most of the girls they liked in the first day, and they didn’t liked the girls in the second day and they needed an excuse to tell them to leave without no offense, and they gave them an written English test, that I heard a lot did it well, but they eliminated most girls(the English test was just an excuse, Hilary, the person from Inter Excel Malaysia – the recruitment company, told me) . In the 4th day we were all invited in a meeting room, they presented us the company, the destinations, gave us a pre-employment contract, they taken our passport copies and school certificates, they presented the benefits of working for them.
After a good thinking I rejected they offer, before mailing me the airplane ticket. They don’t offer you accommodation, just 300 $ to provide one, the salary is around 2000$ (this includes the 300$ for accommodation). If anyone needs the exact amount of money I will provide it, because I still have their contract.
If you really think that you can’t make it for a better company, RJ may be a start, but if you think that you deserve better, go for your dream. Now I’m waiting for the golden call from EK, I had my final interview on 26th oct in Sofia, I just fallow my dream to work for EK or EY.
So good luck to all girls and boys that dream of becoming a Flight Attendant, finger crossed and never give up, your day will come.
:ok::ok::ok:

I worked for RJ...don't do it! :ouch: I wasn't there long lol.

They are very very strict on grooming and I was 'told off' for having mild acne despite the fact that it was there at my interview.

Very unfriendly airline and very unorganised. Since then I have worked as crew for easyJet and BA...much better and my spots were never mentioned, funny that.

I would like to ask following questions:

-does anyone know if Royal Jordanian is currently recruiting for Cabin Crew position?
-is being married a problem when applying for a position of Cabin Crew at RJ?
- Is it necessary to speak Arabic when applying for RJ?
- Does RJ have "open days" in Amman or just only abroad?

Thank you in advance and I hope that this post doesn't violate any of Forum's rules...

Hi guys,

Anyone who has visited OD here in Jordan or anywhere else? (Spain?)
I already had my medical plus gave RJ a bunch of documents.
I am waiting now for my work permit to be done. I was told it would take around a month. Was wondering if anyone here has the same or similar situation?

RBA just finished its hiring here in the philippines. I was one of those filled up an application form after the final interview, however the salary that they discussed during the interview was a way low, is that really true? i just finished my medical with saudia and RBA's result will be on the 3rd week of june so i cant wait, but i was really rooting for this airline.

Who knows about whether a salary is tax free or not? And how expensive is the life in Jordain, because they don't provide with a company accomodation, and cabin crew have to pay bills etc..
Thanks!
