Living in Peterborough give the potential traveller the pain of finding.. A. the nearest airport and B. the best fares.

I have stumbled on the carrier JET2 departing from East Midlands, airport...OK...price, fine.

Anybody got some nice things to say about Jet2? :)

A quick look round will find other results for Jet2, here's the latest offering.

Go for it, they're better than most low cost airlines, although some will always disagree, what suits one won't suit all.
