Is it OK to ask this on the forum? I was recently asked if I knew of the following for sale for static display in a new museum.

Auster, Anson, Heron, Dove and DC3.

Anyone got one?

Try austerclub.org for the Auster

Yes, I tried the Auster Club. There are several possibilities. I wish I were looking for a machine for me, instead of for someone else. I recently tried to get back to flying the Chipmunk (remember we discussed Bicester some time ago?), but the one I wanted to get into crashed a couple of weeks back!

Thanks

Well,

I can supply a slightly tatty but reasonable colour pic' of Dove G-ASMG on the ground; we at Hawkers / BAe Dunsfold were very fond of her as a 'comms' inter-bases aircraft and I understand she's still operating in New Zealand - if any use please PM me.

Thanks. Can you put it on the forum so everyone can see it!

Laurence
I built this Anson Mk19 from scratch, unfortunately it only has a seven foot wingspan.

Amazing. It looks beautiful. I'll buy two please. I want to try out the strip at Saiq!

Don't think the brakes would cope!

I had this Auster too.

Wow. I have actually flown both of those, real size. but Anson only very briefly.
As far as a safe landing in Saiq is concerned, it depends how well you brake!!!
Thread drift ...
