From an Eng O, congrats to all you aircrew on getting your retention bonus. At last the Air Force has woken up to the reality of Market Forces and done something to stop you all leaving. If you ask me, £80k to get an extra 8 years out of you and retain your experience, instead of forking out £3M to train a new guy, makes good sense. Perhaps they will think of bringing out an Eng Officer retention bonus, to stop us all leaving at our 38 point!

I just hope they don't bring out an Admin Officers retention bonus (not that it is very likely). Admin Guru can shove that in his pipe and smoke it! People like him really let the RAF down - and in a public internet forum as well! Shame on him.

EngO let me buy you a beer when I see you, it is very rare for a non-aircrew member to not be having a rant at the aircrew on this forum. Thank you

As another Eng O, I echo the earlier comments! Some of us do believe in the bigger team picture and can see the need for the RB.

Good luck to all who are eligible and I only pity whose loyalty has been seized before this initiative became a reality.

Balls to the wall! Double Yellow Dot of course!
