Does anyone recall Indian DGCA ever taking enforcement action against an operator, or its aircrew, for operating with inappropriate licences or lacking appropriate certificates and ratings, current experience, or for non compliance with MELs, and the like?
Looking at the odds it may be financially beneficial to stop doing proficiency checks, simulator training, recurrent training and the like. In fact I get the impression that you have to follow this policy in certain sectors of the aviation industry just to keep up with the competitors.
I am wondering if there is any chance of getting caught and if so whether any enforcement action will be taken.

Yes, well apart from the character assassination attempt, where is your evidence to the contrary?

I think that the question was ‘have you ever heard of enforcement action by the DGCA’. We all know that it is going on, don't we? Also ask yourself whether you believe that a PC on an 8,000 hour + pilot is really the difference between a safe landing at the correct destination and a funeral.

I think that there an awful lot that don’t and therefore don’t see the need to waste money doing a non-revenue flight of at least 45-minutes duration twice a year.

Ask a pilot, or even an examiner, the difference between an LPC and OPC and you will get a blank stare 90% + of the time, especially in the GA sector, then ask yourself “if they don’t know what it is, have they really done one?”
