Tristar Contract at GAMCO

Did the RAF Tristar maintenance contract with GAMCO go full term? I believe it was a 5 year contract, terminating at the end of 2001.

Was it renewed, or did it return to Marshalls?

I believe that there is an aircraft out there now and there are plans for another to visit later on this year

I believe they had an extension while completing the rear spar mods!!

I also believe that the rotable spares contract (the real money earner) has gone to a company based in Cambridge <img src="eek.gif" border="0">

With the inevitable political pressure it would be good to see the heavy maintenance contract go to a UK based company (obviously if they are competitive in their bid!!)

Denzil, do you mean Marshalls, since they are reticent about putting this on their web site. As for GAMCO continuing, I guess there is a good opportunity right now for "dropping in" whilst on the way to Veritas.
