Rumour Control

After many years service, I'm still not sure where Rumour Control work from. No where to be seen in the telephone directory.

A friend of mine, who will remain nameless, said that it's at a base somewhere in Gloucestershire. Don't quote me on that though. Does anyone else have any ideas where I might find the place?

If we still had telephonists at each base, you could call the PBX and I'm sure they would know where to find Rumour Control.

The only base that I know of in Gloucestershire that could fit the bill could be equally known as the Personnel Mucking about Agency! I'm sorry, but how is it possible that with a detachment that's been running for 20 years, it's still possible to give people only 3 days notice of coming down here; and that's of ANY rank!

Things are always worse than they seem!
