Hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the methods for searching and arranging call signs for a small company. Thus far I've failed to find a site that can help.

Thanks in advance

Airservices. I used to have a contact number for this but can't seem to locate it. At the time they told me it's as simple as applying for it and you need an AOC of course (except for Mr. Fox whom the Airservices guy told me didn't have approval to call himself "FOX 1."

First step is to find out what has been taken. The current list from ICAO is rather expensive at around $700 IIRC. The Danish CAA however have the list in their website (along with many other ICAO docs!).

I don't have the link or the doc handy - you should find it in a search.

I seem to remember something a bit Yes Ministerish about the theoretical approval process, but it does go smoothly in the end.

Now why would someone in the UK want to contact Australian authorities concerning their needs?

The post was for general help from anyone, anywhere who had some helpful knowledge!

Maybe, but so many people jump in with Australia specific answers.

I believe the callsign "Whiskas (http://www.whiskas.com.au/WhiskasAU/en-AU/food/default.htm)" is still available. Any takers? :E
