Can you log hours flown on LSA/Microlights in NZ and what is the difference

As the title said can you log hours if you fly a microlight aircraft on the weekends to get away from your commercial flying job.

And can someone explain to me exactly what the difference between them is and maybe the difference in maintenance requirements etc.
