AOD Testing

I need a new employee to have the pre-employment AOD test done in Brisbane. Has anyone done one, how much and where was it done?

The pre-employment screen for drugs can be done as urinalysis at any of the path clinics around town. The alcohol testing thouugh is a bit more tricky as it is required to be by breathyliser. Many of us are struggling with that part of the requirement and CASA have lowered the cone of silence on the matter. I'd suggest asking some of the larger operators in your area. One of them may have a breathyliser that can be used.

Don't do like one remote base did and send the employee on a 2000km round trip via RPT flight just for the purpose of blowing in the machine. Yes the lunatics are well and truly in charge of the asylum.
