An Air Transat L1011 evacuated a full load of passangers on the taxiway in Orlando Florida on Sat 18Aug01.
Passengers and Flight Attendants spotted smoke coming from the air vents and got a strong smell of smoke.
The good news is that the aircraft was emptied within 2minutes via the chutes with no injuries.....
Pity it was an L1011 because it has a reasonably good reputation.

Tell that to the relatives of the people killed in Jeddah....if I smelled smoke on a L1011, (no fie protection in the canvas walled 'sealed' holds) I'd be crapping my pants too....
