Delta Cancels Direct flight from ATLANTA to MUMBAI,india

Delta Airlines is canceling the ATLANTA - MUMBAI , INDIA flight from the 21st of OCTOBER.

Well My question here is for the People traveling on the BUDDY PASSES. After 21st of Oct if a Buddy pass passenger wants to travel between AtL - BOM, they will have to take the codeshare flights out of BOM to Paris or Amsterdam.

So will the DELTA BUDDY PASSES work on these Codeshare fights?

I work at DAL and don't have the slightest idea, suggest you contact the person that gave you the pass.

Normally, these buddy passes are only usable on the specified carrier, not a code share partner.

Yeah i emailed them and they replied :-

Buddy pass travel is allowed on flights operated by Delta and Delta
Connection with the exception of American Eagle. Buddy pass travel is
not permitted on codeshare flights or flights on other airlines.

For information regarding Family and Friends Certificate travel, please
contact the employee from whom you obtained the certificate. It is the
responsibility of the employee to fully explain all guidelines for
nonrevenue space available travel.
