View Full Version : Times zones in WWII - differences between UK and Germany?

I'm researching a crash that took place in Feb 1943 in Belgium. The aircraft crashed at 20.56, according to the contemporary Luftwaffe report.

What time was that in the UK? An hour ahead, the same? Any ideas/sources?

My guess is that it would be the same time, as the during WW2 UK clocks were set at GMT+1 during the winter and GMT+2 during Summer (British double summertime), this presumes that the continent was still GMT+1 (CET) in February.
