Interesting article in today's FT. It seems that the much-vaunted Private Finance Inititative for Public-Private Partnership ownership of the UK Air Traffic Control system has run into financial difficulties. So they're expecting the airlines to pay more for the right to ATC in UK airspace.....of course, the airlines are very flush for cash right now, so that'll work, won't it?
You will, of course, recall that the DPA suits expect our next generation AAR aircraft to be funded by an equally lunatic PPP....so what'll happen when that too runs into 'financial difficulties'?
