Gauge ID

Need to find out the manufacturer who used this type of pointer in their Pressure Gauges, as you can see it’s quite distinct. Also the gauge has a white dial, with either a chrome or brass bezel… The gauge is 1938 - 1940

Could show you the original image but its so poor it was easier to show this instead.

Well,

The lower one states hydraulic accumulator pressure.

This may have been used as a power source for emergency braking in the event of main hyd. system failure. Or possibly emergency lowering of the landing gear.

Not sure about the top one though.

As far as manufacturer goes, dunno.

If it's American from that era it would probably have been the US Gauge Company.

In the UK, a lot of stuff was made by Dunlop.

Thanks to everyone for their help, got in touch with GE Aviation today and they've asked me to send them any gauges we're having problems with and they will try to ID them for us... Brilliant news;):ok:
