I work under the flight path of Edinburgh - it's great doing a bit of amature spotting sat at my desk.

Did anyone see the 747 arrivie at Edinburgh this morning? Can't recall seeing many 747's come into Edinburgh.

Any info?

Looking forward to seeing the A380 tomorrow.:)

I have no idea why it's there either, but guessing it could be the Macedonian football team who have arrived in Scotland for their fixture tomorrow:confused:

The aircraft has been photographed in the past promoting a Ballet, so maybe there is a tour going on in Edinburgh?

I suspect a football team from Macedonia would use the smallest possible aircraft they could find for a charter to EDI - or indeed travel scheduled.

Unless they get mate's rates on the 747.

Guys the 747 belongs to Fry's Electricals USA, only seats 100 as its a vip fit including state-room upfront (double bed/shower etc). It flew in from dallas and returned there today.Wasnt the ballet on board just aload of corporate types plus a couple of film stars on a 4 day visit.nice.

Was taxying in as it was taxying out a few days ago - was using an 'Ascot' callsign and was given TLA 6C dept, then SAB VOR.

Forgot to ask - does anyone know why a Virgin Atlantic A340-300 was parked up briefly on Block 33 a couple of weeks ago?

Think you might find that the two VC-10's that were parked next to the 747 before departure were using the Ascot call sign. He was just N747.
