As a regular passenger on SAA A319-100's I recently travelled on a brand new Easyjet A319 in Europe. The shape of the underwing side of the winglets seems to have changed slightly in the new aircraft. Am I correct?

I don't think they have. I fly A319's ranging in age from about six years old to brand new and I don't think the wing fences (Airbus call the winglets, fences) have changed. Looking at the serial numbers of the SAA aeroplanes and they are of a similar age to ours.

I can confirm that the wing tip devices fitted by Airbus to the A320-200 (none were fitted to the -100s) and all A318, A319 and A321s are all of the same design.

Thanks. The shape probably appeared different because of the paintwork on the Easyjet a/c.
