I have recently been accepted as a pilot in RAF and am meant to be starting IOT in NOV. However, in 2005, i had a shoulder Arthroscopy on a posible dislocation. As a result, i was offered surgery, or physiopharpy.

Seeing as the shoulder didnt cause me much problem. I opted for the later and have never had a problem since.

However, the Doc at OASC seems concerned that i was offered surgery but chose not to have it, and is requesting further information from the both the surgen and the physio.

bascailly, im now panicing about what the out come of all of this might be...are they going to reject me based on an issue from 4 years ago that has no bearing on my life what so ever? or might they ask me to have the surgery before joining? or do they think they will be satisfied that i had a few physio sessions & have worked hard to make the shoulder stronger, therefore negating the need for surgery?

any opinions regarding this would be most appreciated

thanks
