Hi guys, I need some advice, may be you can help me.

I am a commercial pilot (JAA), I am from Spain and I have just tried to join the Spanish army to fly there like a pilot, I passed all the exams but they required a visual "sharpness" of 1.0 in both eyes and I have 0.9!!

I would like to know if I can join the Royal Army or the US Army to flight there or may be in bases that they have in Spain (Rota). I know that I have not your nationality, but I am asking this because in the Spanish army are allowed an amount of foreigners every year.

In the case I can join, could you tell me where I can be informed of everything?

Thanks in advance to everyone.

From Overseas enquiries - RAF Careers (http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/sendmeinfo/overseas.cfm)

"If you have not lived in the United Kingdom for 5 consecutive years it is unlikely that your application will meet our residency requirements."

The same will apply to the Army (not the Royal Army..) and the Royal Navy.
