The big 2-oh was all a bit ho hum for me. I consider myself one of the luckiest ones - although I went through a bit of pain and a year or three back in the RHS, I ended up, both professionally and in my home life, considerably better off than I would have been had that misbegotten excuse for a man bob'orke not declare war on me and my colleagues who decided not to become 'heroes'.

I wish the same could be said for the vast majority of younger pilots who've joined the industry in the 20 years that have passed since then. The heroes have a lot to answer for in the greately reduced terms and conditions 'enjoyed' (not!) by most in the industry today here in Ozmate. (And please, heroes and others, spare me the Virgin Blue / Virgin Australia line. Their T&Cs suck, I agree.)
