Damp in brasil???

Hello colleagues from Brasil and Portugal.
How do you call a damp runway in the Portuguese language?
I believe wet is molhado and dry is seco....? But what about damp???

damp runway = pista umida

Well, if you want to be precise it's HUMIDO and yes the H is silent.

I was wondering if ATC in Brasil does make a difference betw.
wet and damp runways. Can be quite important.

So far I have only heared wet, even when is was just damp....

I'm not sure that the term damp is actually used here, runways are either wet or dry AFAIK. I'll ask around at work and see if I can get a definitive answer.

Brazillian ATC does distinguish between damp and wet when reporting runway conditions. You can even hear that on ATIS at some airports! And you are right about that beeing important, both for performance reasons as well as for operational reasons. E.g our airline´s SOP prohibits copilot operation if the runway is reported wet, but if it´s damp no restrictions apply :ok:
