Class 1 medical with Addisons disease

Does anyone know if you can still keep you class 1 medical if diagnosed with Addisons disease?And if so will you be allowed to have steriod injections and still keep flying.

Since no-one seems to have answered I have done a bit of research....

(all in the public domain).

In JAR land (as seen from a UK perspective) look at page 67 of this

looks like may be ok for renewal/revalidation Class 1 but not for initial,

I think usual treatment may be steroid tablets, not usually injections

but of course


ask an (your?) AME or the friendly people at the CAA medical dept.

No idea what hapens in NZ
