Living just inside the north western edge of the Stansted CTR, I have noticed several helicopter movements in the last month, the same machines everytime.

A dark blue S-76 (might be Starspeed OM) and 2 AW 139 one of which is white.

All 3 seen flying formation at the weekend around the northern edge of the Stansted CTR near Saffron Walden.

Today I have seen the S-76 and the white AW 139.

Due to the proximity to Duxford, might be something to do with Helitech preparations (early though) or Lanthwaite Aviation at Great Chesterford.

I am just interested if anyone knows the aircraft.

Could be any number of charter or private/corporate flights; Air Harrods are based there.

Cheers

Simon, thank you for the info. Saw the blue AW 139 heading north approx 30 minutes ago.

AlanM, I live in Newport, near Audley End airfield.

They are usually going to and from Newmarket, DU139 has been about for a couple of years, DU141 is only a couple of months old, and G-BOYF is old! The 2 139`s are owned by the Dubai Government as far as I know.
