hi all,
I am traveling on one of tcx's 757s on friday to ibiza, just a question about the flight itself. I have herd of the 35 inch seat pitch. does anyone know if this is true? sounds good. also, does anyone know which aircraft it will be, i have narrowed it down to WJAN, FCLJ, FCLK. one final point, i watched a video the other day of an enthusiast such as my self on a tcx flight deck the other month, what are the chances of me being able to visit flight deck?

Cheers.

Not been in one of TCX's 757's lately, but from what I heard you get what you pay for with your 3 hour flight.

Their A320's, on the other hand, are just damn right awful. The legroom is ridiculous and I had to spread my legs out as if I was giving birth in order to be in the most comfortable position.... which wasn't at all comfortable.

Don't see why you need the registration... it will not help if you don't provide the departure airfield, though. Just see what is there on the day as things can change with a few hours notice if aircraft are tied up here and there.

When you've landed.. preferably back at home airport.. and the engines are shut down, as a member of cabin crew if there's a chance you can visit then but remember they're often on turn arounds and busy with paperwork.

Enjoy Ibiza. The approach is good if you're on the left and landing from the East :ok:

Enjoy your holidays!

Scott

ah yes that would be helpful....its from manchester...Tcx402. the east approach is great for views of the island, but i prefer the approach in from the sea from the west, it always seems to be a better thrill.

Yes, three of our 757-200s (as mentioned 'AN, 'LJ and 'LK) have the 35" seat pitch, they almost exclusively operate our Canadian Affair flights but do sometimes operate shorthaul services between flying to Canada. It's an enormous amount of seat pitch and consistently get excellent reviews. The remainder of our fleet (all of the Charlies, 'BA and the other Limas) have a standard charter seat pitch like on our Airbus A320/1 aircraft of between 28 and 30 inches on all seats besides Row 1DEF and 2ABC as well as the emergency exit row seats.

You won't be able to go into the flight deck in flight obviously for security reasons this is prohibited, however you could always ask the crew in flight if the flight crew don't mind or have the time for visitors on the ground. Remember in IBZ there are slot restrictions and turnaround times of 50 to 60 minutes so it might not always be possible, but the flight crew almost always like to say "hello" if they can.

No one will be able to tell you which aircraft will run on the day for 2 reasons. Firstly - security, secondly - aircraft might change at last minute for whatever reason.

You won't be able to visit the flight deck before or during the flight, but if you ask when you arrive in Ibiza you'll probably get in. If you don't ask, you don't get!
