New SAA CEO

According to the Sunday Times, Transport director general Mpumi Mpofu is tippped to succeed Ngqula as CEO of SAA. Chris Smyth was only a caretaker since Ngqula's demise.Other names being touted are Vodacom chairman Oyama Mabandla (remember him?) and SA Express boss Siza Nzimela. And while on the subject, head of corporate comms Robyn Chalmers is bailing out - going to SAB.

It would be hard to find someone worse in every way than Charles Ngqula, who was a:mad: and a :mad:,yet there are precedents where the seemingly impossible has been achieved.

I will await developments with baited breath but sadly without much hope.
