^^Well if that was the way why do they have some of the most experienced and best A320 drivers around....You would be astonished of how many hours these guys have and who they have flown for in the past.

At least pax are in good hands when it comes to situations like this, no matter what the TT contract is..

multiple warnings
looks like a FWC failure. Had it once. ECAM was full, full of failures. That much that we gave up to follow and stopped "ecam action", after realizing that numerours failures did definitely not exist in real. Continued destination.
Maintenance on ground: FWC1 fault. :(

that's probably how they can afford to work for Tiger, already had a good job

Airbus_a321

OK - you were a capt on an a320, had a problem, diagnosed that problem, made a decision, decided to continue, landed safely and with the benefit of hindsight/being safely on the ground you can justify your decisions.

This guy was a captain on an a320, had a problem, diagnosed the problem, made a decision, decided to divert, landed safely and WITHOUT the benefit of immediate information as to what, exactly, he had (OMG it may NOT have been what you had, maybe something different or worse) you cast aspertions.

You both landed safely, passengers crew and aircraft all safe.
You're a skygod and he's a ?????

I would have said you both made command decisions - and both assured the safety of all people/entities involved; but hey, just call me crazy! :ok:

Sunstar320 has it right - like it or not boys and girls - but there's a very strong core of command experience in Tiger, the CP certainly has my greatest respect (and I believe much of the aviation game's respect), they recently checked out the ex DragonAir 747F CP as a Capt (allegedly looked at the position due family health and NOT money  surely an impossible proposition according to hoongonkfoooooooo), AND a rumour around another F/O joining who only has maybe 20,000hrs total with Oz and International experience; one would hope such experience will be quickly utilised.

Want to attack Tiger on a comercial basis - go for it, fair comment.
Want to attack Tiger on Flight Crew experience/ability - you don't know what you're talking about, show your ignorance! Go for it. :ok:

Cheers all
galdian

Disclaimer: I am a friend of the captain involved in the incident above, on a professional level he's up there with the best operators I've come across - the 10+ years experience on the A320 wouldn't have been a negative either.

Hang on galadian - who exactly on this thread was attacking Tiger crew ability and / or experience ??

Unless a post has been deleted.

Hi Slice

Well: " Too Low Pay, Too Low Conditions, Pull Up" would be a not too subtle dig in my estimation.

Airbus_a321's post looks shorter than original, what I originally saw gave the distinct impression there was a comparison of abilities with similar (or at least perceived similar) problems hence my comments that as long as all are safe on the ground.....................etc.

Finally hongkong's post came across to me as the decision to accept any position is based on money, the best pay gets the best pilots (Hmmmm - interesting concept!) therefore Tiger with LCC pay gets ??????
That's the reason for suggesting Tiger are getting seriously experienced crew who are looking for a mix of money but, maybe more importantly, lifestyle or quality of life - however you want to phrase it.

Have a go at the commercial realities of a TRUE LCC (and pornstar is not one, not while it can bludge and hide its true costs through mummy QF) that's fine, lack of recovery is a reality BUT recovery costs money which a true LCC doesn't have.
Have a go at the "quality" of Tiger aircrew - well those people who do are showing their ignorance of the reality.

I reckon you're partly right - maybe no posts deleted but one or two edited.

Cheers

Reminds me of the QF captain who reckons he got a got a "Career Path Error" message when turning towards Europe out of Singapore during the early days of the -400.
I thought that was pretty funny as well!

Warning Will Robinson, loss of humour alert!
Read the opening post ,then read what I wrote, again.
What does the :ok: icon mean ??????
Just trying to lighten up an otherwise dull day.
I can't see how wishing for better pay and contitions for mates of mine in Tiger ,(in a backhanded sort of a way),is in any way a crime worthy of the thought police?
