Wonderful airshow (as always), however a disappointing lack of Red Arrows/Typhoon action.

Maybe they weren't requested by the museum, although I'd find that difficult to believe as on the three prior occasions I've attended this airshow the Red Arrows have been there, and the Typhoon was there last time I was (2 years ago).

I find it all the more surprising as they were both performing at Sunderland on Saturday as far as I'm aware, which is only a few minutes flying time away.

According to the Red Arrows site, they are performing 94 displays this season, only 5 north of the border though. Pitiful!

The Typhoon will be displaying 4 times out of 29 displays in Scotland. Hmm, a bit better, but would have been nice to have seen it at East Fortune.

Incidentally, the event wasn't completely without the RAF.

Damn! Missed it again! That's 3 years in a row now... If anyone has any photos of this year's event, would they mind posting them here? It would be very much appreciated, at least by me. Thanks

Great airshow this year and great weather too, just a shame that the commentator is the usual t#t...

Couldn't make the show either but caught some of the participants at EDI on Saturday:

Thanks, glad you liked the pics.

Good video there, as an ex-glider pilot I can appreciate the sequence, although the manoeuvre between 13 and 20 secs seems a bit 'out of control'.

I had hoped the Vulcan would fly past EDI but if it did I missed it :{
