Taking to the air, an exact replica of a Be2F RFC, and a 1925 Avro 504, ex NZ Permanent Air Force (forerunner of RNZAF). Logbook found in 2nd hand shop in Auckland, bought on charge as PAF 202 in 1925.

Wow, would love to see them but, sadly, our travelling days are over. We had a magic trip to Omaka in 2007 and flew in the Catalina - an experience never to be forgotten. New Zealand is the ultimate destination for those interested in old aeroplanes...

It's great to see so many delightful flying machines from the Great War period rebuilt or recreated; wish there was more interest in such types, and the interwar years, here in Europe.

If I had the cash, I'd love to commission a Bulldog, or a Siskin, or a Grebe, or a...
