Moving to Abu Dhabi

Considering a move with the wife and 2 kids to Abu Dhabi at the end of the year and just want to get some feel for what life is like with a family there.
Kids are 4 and 2 so sooon will be starting school. Whats the deal with schools there i.e. availabilty, cost, quality etc etc.

Regarding housing is there any villas or houses to rent there or is it all just apartment blocks.

Any other bits of info be greatly appreciated.

Schools? Yes, generally very expensive, maybe as much as 45,000AED for your 4 year old.
Housing? There are numerous to choose from, prices going down but still very high.

The Region is going down the same as the rest of the world, with a number of people going home I would suggest you look at short term rental untill the end of the year, then with luck the prices will follow the same way as Dubai.
Best way is find a job with one month one one month off and keep your family at home, its much cheaper.
