Lets see how far this will go and how successful she will be in her bid to wring some money from Boeing. She is going to have a tough case proving that one occurrence of a "smokey mist" caused her problems, but that her fellow cabin attendants suffered no ill health after the exposure.

These claims have been numerous, but I can not recall that anyone has successfully sued an airline - might be wrong but I doubt it!

I have been flying for much longer than she has, and I do not suffer from these problems. Maybe I sit in a "cleaner" part of the aircraft!

Life is a terminal disease - who can I sue?

In case you didn't go to the Aerotoxic Association link, the CNN in the USA did a good piece on contaminated bleed air (http://edition.cnn.com/video/#/video/health/2009/07/03/dcl.ravitz.airplanes.toxic.cnn) yesterday which was very well explained by their reporter and by Capt Tristan Loraine.

(TwinJock: Life may be a terminal disease, but who knows what inhaling TCP can lead to? To me, breathing even small amounts of a neurotoxin every day at work can't be good for you. And as has been explained in numerous places, just because you're not affected doesn't mean everything's OK - due to individuals' genetic makeup, enzymes etc, not everyone has the same response.)

Not sure Why this has been moved to the cabin crew forum - it can affect anyone in an aircraft.

Probably because it has the words ´flight attendant´ in the first line & the Mod in question was speed reading. :8
