I think you may be thinking of the A320 in the "Retro" scheme to celebrate their 75th anniversary

Here it is,

I agree with you, it certainly is eye-catching!

Believe me, at the time that these, now retro, liveries were the current livery, they soon became quite boring to see.

Retro liveries, generally painted on only one a/c, is becoming the norm with many carriers now. As a one-off, this does of course make them more "eye catching". High time we saw a BOAC B777 and a BEA A319/A320.

Slightly off topic, but what is that odd little plane shown in the video, just before the 747 taking off?

It is (was?) a Bregeut 'Duex Ponts'.

There is still one preserved at the military airfield at Evreux to the west of Paris.

There is also one at the small spam field of Fontenay-Tresigny to the east of Paris. This one is used as a bar (!), and it's quite pleasant to sit in the shade under the wing sipping beer whilst watching the putt-putts bash the circuit.

Can't quite give you that, yet, but on its 60th Anniversary the (now) BA Flying Club, via Mick Allen (http://allenaircraftresprays.co.uk/bafc60.htm) at Turweston, can provide a Warrior instead.

G-SIXT port:

And G-SIXT starboard:

:ok:

The video claims it is the 1946 livery. Don't think they painted fuselage tops white back then. Yoy can see there is a shot of a Connie on the ground which is overall natural metal.

KLM have also done the same with one of theirs...

42psi, yes - and so have many others, which is why I didn't start naming all the carriers which have a/c in retro liveries because it would make quite a long list.
