Mods, please feel free to move if necessary but I was hoping to get an answer from the pros.

Three Chinooks have just flown over Northwich within the last hour (presumably 3 different ones unless they've got lost :E).

They were heading roughly northwards and I was wondering whether anybody could let me know their destination, purely out of self-interest.

It's been a busy few weeks for Military helos over Northwich, 2 Lynx flew over on Friday and an Apache about a week before all on a similar heading. A previous thread on the Spotters forum I started suggested they were going to / coming from Shawbury.

Hope somebody is able to let me know.

Thanks :ok:

Most low level traffic over Northwich will be going either North or South, as it's in the Manchester Low Level Route (a bit of airspace that allows VFR traffic to 'free flow' North to South or vice versa between Manchester and Liverpool's CTRs without the need for an ATC clearance).
