Strong rumour emerging from Jeddah today Wednesday 24 June that the sudden resignation of two Vice Presidents, in the middle of the airlines privitization process, coincided with the a large number of Pilot resignations supposedly heading towards the smaller LCCs in the same country

Details? I am on vacation and love a good story. Not a lot of pilots left for NAS or Sama. I don't know enough about the newer airline.

Krypton, dont take half a story and believe it..... VP IFS resigned due to the implementation of Sabre, he objected to having his crews rostered productively with the loss of their blocked 6 days off per month, he challenged it, he lost, he resigned. Considering that he is over 60 years old, i doubt that he is joining anyone else.

2nd point, today is the 1st of Arabic month 7, 32,000 Saudi males employed by the government reached retirement age today. So its logical that a lot of pilots retired.

3rd point, Saudis with over 25 years of service retire with an awesome pension, with 30 years of service they retire with 80% salary, these are the people leaving for Nas / AlWafeer as they will get the same salary PLUS the pension!

4th point, has Al-Wafeer employed ANYONE who isnt on a pension???

BTW, this is only the beginning of the changes, hold on to your seat and enjoy the ride :ok:

Desert Diner, Saudi Nationals dont need a letter of no objection :ok:

Have fun...
