This might be useful (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/technology/mobile-phones/5623460/Vodafone-launches-mobile-phone-signal-booster.html) if you live in a poor signal area.

It would have been useful to me in my last house. I lived in a hollow and only got a mobile connection on the top floor. I lloked at getting a booster and an external aerial on the roof, but the costs were too high. This would have done the trick.

The unknow is the range it covers.

Looks like a damn cheek to me!

Expanding their network by charging extra. Is it free to access from 'passing traffic', I wonder?

So, let me get this straight. For a fee, you can use your cellphone in an area where you already have a landline. But you can forget about it as soon as you are out of range and it's all going to depend on whether or not the remote area you are in actually has broadband!!

Some sheeple will fall for the scam though..........
