Does anyone know the circumstances surrounding this accident?

As usual any facts / wild rumours / innuendo / heresay gossip would be helpful!

Why do you need to know?

Rojer Wilco

I'm interested in which aircraft it was, who owns the aircraft, POB, and anything else I can glean from the rumour mill.

Facts can be found in the ATSB weekly summary at

http://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/2009/pdf/aws050609.pdf

"The pilot did not complete the short final checks and landed the
aircraft with the landing gear retracted."

There's them that have and them that will...

Yes, yes... I'd seen the ATSB report. That's where I got aircraft type, location and date from. It seems I may know someone involved in the accident, and I'm trying to (albeit slightly covertly) confirm this suspicion.

Give up mate. If you're sure it's them, why don't you call them and ask?

Why are there so many wankers in this world?

Rojer Wilco

Well why don't I just f**k off back into my shell then? I thought at the top of my page it said "Rumour Network".

Excuuuuuse me.

PS An oversupply of wankers is generally caused by an undersupply of suitable things to f**k. I'd suggest turning your attention to something more suitable than me.

That smell isn't newsprint AussieNick, it's the smell of wet ink on your pilot's license and/or (dare I suggest) birth certificate.

Thanks BB! Perhaps you can photograph me flying home in a north easterly direction. I'm guessing that my first job after the post landing checklist is to find a new parking spot?

Anyway, does anyone know anything about a twin comanche landing gear up at Cessnock last month?

This is a rumour network, but apparently, this incident did occur!

So... this thread never existed! :uhoh:

Very well Cap'n, I'm more than happy for this thread to disappear in a puff of logic, it's given me more trouble than benefit anyway.

Sorry to put you all out...

Sheesh!

Rojer Wilco:

If you really need to know, try calling the Registered Operator of Cessnock Airfield on 02 4991 2153.

I really can't believe that someone who so passionately wants to find out about this incident did not do just as Ovation suggested 3 days ago.

Unless one wants to be anonymous - that is.

Nah! But I know a bloke who did it in a 210 at CNK - a brane nue 210 at that - about 40 years ago.........

Wanna write about that??
