Does anybody know the weight and height limits for crew in the Harrier (min&max)?

Thanks in advance!

Could be the last?

Speak to Martin Baker via BAE; however, it is one of those grey areas.:ok:

The hover program we used at St. Athan would not accept a pilot weight above 220lbs for some reason!

Actually it's that well known practise called banter - as an ex military type I would expect any question to be answered by one or two sensible people, and a veritable horde trying out their 'banter' in the faint hope that they'd developed a noticeable sense of humour since their last effort. (Usually a case of hope triumphing over reality).

This IS a forum for military types, and ceaseless p*$$ taking is in fact what occurs day in, day out, in the miltary.

What is it with you military guys?

What's it with people who aren't military going on military sites then complaining that they don't care for the way the people on there behave? As long as there's nothing rude or offensive what's the beef?

C'mon, guys! It could be beef or venison. But, as everyone knows, the best beef comes from Aberdeen Angus, and that's a polled breed.

Nah, never seen any at a polling station.

Not just the Navy, m'lud - RAF drill instructors told (i.e. loudly, as an order, with proper pauses) us that on practically our first line-up three thick ... and many years later it was still true. Probably still is, innit?
But also true is "I can take a joke, but f*** a pantomime" (but not out loud, not in front of the Drill Corporal, to whom talking back is not done).
Happy days, leading on to even better jests, japes and suchlike from on high ...

My Dear Whistla,

Apologies on behalf of my fellow PPRuNers, maybe there should be a "sticky" post explaining that you won't get a sensible reply if you ask about "viff, viff nozzing in the weedosphere"

Came across a guy a few years back ( not literally you understand, different Sqn and all that) but he used to fly Harriers and I would have put him at 6"4 and 220#. Was a rumour at the time that Red 10 would get a CH 47 instead of a Gazelle...............
