Evening all,

Just wondering if anyone has any more information at what will be at the airshow this year - i've taken a look at the Sunderland Airshow website - but there seems to be no mention of the AWACS or VC-10 there this year, as i believe they were supposed to be at the show last year before it was called off due to fog off the coast.

Also, will they be using NCL as a base for the weekend again this year? I know it was mentioned about a viewing area at NCL, but i don't know if it has been confirmed, and if so, where will it be?

Any more info that you may have would be appreciated.

Hi all

From research I have done, this is what I have managed to find on aircraft appearing this year. I have included dates where known.

Hope this info is useful.

Red Arrows 25 & 26
Typhoon 25 & 26
Chinook 26
RAF Hawk 25 & 26
RAF Tutor 25 & 26
RAF Falcons 25 & 26 (yes, I know its not an aircraft. LOL)
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight 25 & 26
Blue Eagles ( 1 lynx and 1 apache) 25 & 26
Black Cats 25 & 26
Royal Navy Historic Flight 25 & 26
Team Guinot ?
The Blades 25 & 26
Belgian Air Component F16 25 & 26
Royal Netherlands Air Force F16 25 & 26 (new orange paint scheme (http://www.f16demoteam.nl/F16/control.php?&topgroupname=MainPage))
Sea King helicopter ?
DC6 ?
Swift Glider Team 25 & 26
Vulcan Bomber 25

ps Not sure why they have split the flying display times this year. 12.00-1.00 then 1.30-4.30. The Red Arrows start the show at 12.00. Maybe the organisers have something special planned with it being the Air Shows 21st year.

Colin

Don't laugh out loud too much, because you may run into the leader of The Falcons, a Flt. Lt. Louise Buxton who I photographed when a new range of 'MOD approved' toys was launched at Northolt recently.

The Falcons leader is shown below.

It's nice to see women joining the ranks of some of our world famous display teams. A female pilot is one of two candidates selected to join the world-famous ‘Diamond Nine’ for the 2010 display season.
